On Thursday, June 21, 2018 the cities best dining destinations and top chefs will join together for a Night at the Aquarium, held annually at the Vancouver Aquarium. The evening benefits the conservation of our oceans, education and research initiatives.
We are thrilled to be apart of this award-winning fundraising gala. The team from the RawBar at The Lobby Lounge will be serving up the signature Sable Motoyaki roll and Mango Avocado roll during the cocktail & canapé reception. Botanist will be plating up White Gazpacho soup as part of a five-course collaborative dinner with other top Vancouver restaurants including: Blue Water Cafe + Raw Bar, CinCin Restaurant Araxi Restaurant + Oyster Bar and YEW seafood + bar.

Guests will be dining in the newly opened Douglas Coupland feature exhibit Vortex. The major sculpture exhibition combines art and science and brings to awareness to ocean plastic pollution. Coupland has reimagined what is commonly called “the Pacific Trash Vortex” or the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, which is the largest accumulation of ocean plastic in the world, 1.8 trillion pieces of plastic to be exact. The exhibit features colourful ocean plastics that have been collected along the British Columbia coastline by Coupland, the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup, and other collaborating cleanup organizations.
