Equal parts Campari, gin and sweet vermouth, topped with an orange peel. Sounds simple, but negroni enthusiasts know the perfect drink is anything but. From June 4 to 10, The Lobby Lounge and RawBar at Fairmont Pacific Rim will be shaking up its cocktail menu in time for the sixth annual Negroni Week.

Headed by Imbibe Magazine and Campari, Negroni Week offers bars and restaurants across the globe the opportunity to flex their cocktail shakin’ skills while also giving back to their community – with one dollar from each Negroni sold at every participating venue going to a charity of choice. The Lobby Lounge and RawBar will be donating its proceeds to Ocean Wise conservation efforts. Since its inception in 2013, Negroni Week has raised nearly $1.5 million to an array of charitable organizations.

The classic Negroni cocktail, originating in Italy as an aperitif, is now considered an iconic drink around the world. Beloved by cocktail connoisseurs, its subtle bitterness is balanced by sweet vermouth resulting in a multi-layered sip that is perfect for day or night. Sean McGuigan, Head Bartender of The Lobby Lounge and RawBar, has crafted four twists on the classic Negroni. Guests can sip on their version of choice while enjoying live performances featuring the best of Vancouver’s contemporary musical artists.

A fresh and summery take on the classic Spagliato, this delightful libation is the Negroni’s sparkling cousin.

 


Lucky Negroni

Gin | Sake Vermouth | Bitter Bianco | Grapefruit Peel
A twist on the White Negroni, using sake as a base for vermouth infused with Japanese green tea and citrus peels. This refreshing aperitivo pairs wonderfully with Chef Taka’s sushi.
