Vancouver Pride Festival – August 6
August 6 marks the annual Pride Parade and Vancouver is home to one of Canada’s largest pride celebrations, making it one of the go-to events of the year. In a rainbow display of love, inclusion and a whole lot of party, the parade attracts a crowd of more than 650,000 lining the streets of Robson, Denman and Beach Avenue. The day finishes with an epic beach party with performances and a beer garden at Sunset Beach. After a full day of parading and partying, we recommend indulging in an Aching Foot Pedicure at Willow Stream Spa. Here’s how we’re celebrating Pride at Fairmont Pacific Rim.

Concerts: Foo Fighters – September 8 & Sam Smith – September 10
From rock and roll, to music that will soothe the soul, both the Foo Fighters and Sam Smith are coming to Rogers Arena this September. The American rock band, Foo Fighters, known for hits like “Monkey Wrench” and “Learn to Fly”, will be performing on their Concrete and Gold tour. English singer and songwriter Sam Smith recently released his new album The Thrill of It All and is joining Vancouver as part of his world tour.
SKOOKUM – September 7 – 9
If you’re into art, music and consider yourself a foodie – the first ever SKOOKUM Festival held in Stanley Park is an event you’re going to want to know about. With an exciting lineup of over 50 musical artists, including headliners The Killers and Florence + The Machine, it’s set to be the hottest weekend event of the summer. There will be three stages, live art and multimedia installations, gourmet food pop-ups and some of the best of BC wine and craft beer.

SeaWheeze Weekend – September 20 – 22
Yoga. Run. Party! is the name of this game. Luckily for those not willing to crush 21.1km of breathtaking views around Vancouver, you don’t have to participate in the race to attend the party at the Sunset Festival, held in Stanley Park. Although the race is sold out (it sells out every year as soon as registration opens) there’s still ways you can get sweaty at SeaWheeze. Post-race, they set up in Stanley Park at 4:00pm for a stretch and flow class. After, there’s plenty of food, beverages and a epic dance party with performances by Diplo, Felix Cartel, and DJ Drez.
