Fairmont Pacific Rim Presents: Cocktails at Home

This week, join creative beverage director Grant Sceney for a cocktail tutorial distilled into fool-proof steps that will bring the signature flare of our cocktail program to your home bar.  Tune in at 4:00pm (PST) and follow along as he creates the seasonally inspired Sakura Spritz, followed by our first virtual sounds of The Lobby Lounge live music performance. We’ll drink to that!

Fairmont Pacific Rim Presents: Cocktails at Home 1

SAKURA SPRITZ COCKTAIL RECIPE

INGREDIENTS [yields 1 cocktail]

1.5oz Absolut Vodka
1oz Cherry Blossom and Green Tea Cordial*
2oz Sparkling Water

Cherry Blossom and Green Tea Cordial*

1 TEALEAVES Sakura Tea Bag
1 cup Sugar
1 pinch Citric Acid (optional)
5oz Cold Water

METHOD

Cherry Blossom and Green Tea Cordial*

    1. Steep water and tea for 12 hours in the fridge.
    2. Strain tea leaves.
    3. Combine strained tea, sugar and citric acid and whisk until combined. Pour into clean mason jar, use as needed. Store in fridge
  1. Build remaining ingredients over ice in a wine glass.
  2. Give a gentle stir to blend.
  3. Garnish with cherry blossom petals and a lemon slice.
