The Cocktail Lab at Botanist is the city’s most unique cocktail experience and the only of its kind in the country. The lab has been custom-created to integrate a culinary-forward approach to the Botanist’s cocktail design and production. Industrial kitchen elements have been added to the lab such as a rotary evaporator (Rotovap) to distill and vacuum, and centrifuges to separate ingredients of different density.
The experiential cocktail lab libations are inspired by the four elements and celebrate the bold creativity of cocktail making – Deep Cove (water), Candy Cap Magic (Earth), Pretty Bird (Air) and the newest addition to round out the element of fire, the Smoke on the Water. The smoky sip is composed of rum, coconut oil, mezcal, birch sap and charred lemon – a twist on the Daiquiri, served in a Crafthouse smoking box that infuses the drink with hints of cedar smoke. Make your way down to Botanist to taste this cocktail before it lands on the menu with the secret code word “Botanist Smoke.” Exclusively available at the bar or lounge only.
