A Canopy of Lights

A canopy of 35,000 small lights now illuminates the eastern side of Fairmont Pacific Rim, creating a boulevard reminiscent of its inspiration, Paris – the City of Light. Under the direction of owners Westbank and Peterson, the hotel continues to embrace and promote endeavours with a high degree of artistic design.

The lights are the latest design installation at the hotel, which has become a destination for public art and artistry in Vancouver. The LED lights activate daily at dusk, remaining on until sunrise.”

The intention goes beyond adding another layer of design to the hotel; this petite boulevard of lights is intended to further enrich the city’s downtown core and provide an opportunity to pause ‘under the stars’ and enjoy the moment – perhaps a proposal, a scoop of gelato, or mere star-gazing.
