This year will see a Fairmont Culinary Apprentice Dinner first! The annual culinary cook-off is back once again, but this year with a new location. On October 12, 2018, six Fairmont Hotels are represented by their aspiring chefs who will showcase their culinary skills at the 14th annual Fairmont Apprentice Dinner. Hosted for the first time by Fairmont Chateau Whistler, it will be an evening to remember.
The theme for the event this year will be World Class Wild, and each of the properties will create dishes that relate to their unique travel personalities:
Empress – The Islander
Pacific Rim – The Trendsetter
Hotel Vancouver – The Historian
Vancouver Airport – The Globetrotter
Waterfront – The Discoverer
Chateau Whistler – The Adventurer
Fairmont Pacific Rim has six Culinary Apprentices representing our property including:
Ryoon Jae Cha
Keith Chi Chun Chan
Ji Young Lee
The evening will begin with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres at 5:30 p.m., followed by a six-course dinner and wine pairings at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $149 per person and include the reception, dinner, wine.
